What to Expect
Studio Sessions:
In the comfortable and informal studio Maria is able to create anything from the classic style family portrait against a white or black background (a stunning black & white photograph is still hard to beat for style and impact; and monochrome photography adds a timeless dimension to the imagery resulting in prints that you will favour for years to come). Maria has also added her own artistic flair to the studio in the creation of unique backdrops generally for use in model and performer portfolios.
A normal portrait session will usually last up to 1 hour whereas a model portfolio will generally take between 2-3 hours. All sessions are by appointment only. For model/performer portfolio pricing, see bottom of page.
For your photo session bring along your own choice of music on CD to help relax you, any props or accessories that you feel will help personalise your images, and a change of outfit; it's amazing how subtle differences can make a huge impact on the finished result.
The one hour studio portrait session fee is £150 and includes a 12"x10" print of your choice in a classic contemporary 2" black wooden frame with extra thick archival quality mount.
Outdoor Lifestyle Portraits:
Maria also likes to work on location where the session often takes on a more relaxed and informal style. Perhaps you have a beautful garden or live near a park or woodland, whatever the location, session times are usually arranged to take advantage of the best lighting conditions to help achieve the most flattering images naturally, for your perfect portrait, as well as, of course taking into account the client's preference.
The Outdoor Lifestyle session fee is £250 which includes approx. 2-3 hours on location plus your favourite 12"x10" image from the day presented in a beautiful classic 2" black wooden frame within an extra thick archival quality mount. NB: Additional charges may be applicable for location sessions outside of the Nottingham area.
Pawtraits:
Animal photography has always been high on Maria's agenda due to her genuine love and interest in dogs, cats, horses and wildlife in general. In fact, Maria could not feel more at home than when in the company of her furry friends. Through the rapport she finds with the majority of her subjects she endeavours to capture their unique characteristics and spirit; with this in mind she allows plenty of time for them to become accustomed to and feel at ease with her during any given shoot.

On The Hoof:
Many photographers cover the eventing calendar, but Maria prefers the discipline of equine portraits; proper 'studies' of your horse or pony. She likes to spend plenty of time with her subjects with the aim of letting the true spirit of the animal shine through. The end result being images that will look great in your home today, tomorrow and for years to come.

I only arrange one shoot per day to ensure your exclusivity. Sessions will be arranged after discussing the individual requirements; how many people will be involved, what look or style you are after, choice of outfits and accessories etc. The more information I have the better, and I will endeavour to get to know my clients a little before and at the shoot not only to help get everyone in a relaxed mood, but to help me make the session fun and creative.
After The Shoot
Images will usually be available to view on-line about a week following your sitting, and you can then make your selections and discuss the final presentation requirements with myself or simply order on-line.
The beauty of on-line viewing is that other family members or friends may order additional prints and products on-line also.
Pricing and Presentation
I prefer to run an honesty policy at Lace Market Photography. Rather that lure potential clients with a "bargain" sitting fee and sting them with high costs afterwards I'd rather be upfront with people and make them aware of the costs before hand. I'm sorry, but 'hard sell' is not my thing.
I only use a top-notch processing lab, and quality professional framers where each item is hand finished with attention to detail. Framed prices start from £155, canvases from £145, and acrylic blocks (as seen in the example at the top of the page) from £225.
Bespoke orders for multiple image selections can also be catered for - ask for a quote. Samples of mounts, frames and other products are available to view in the studio to aid you in your final decision of finished presentation of your photographs.
Model/Performer Portfolio Pricing
The studio portfolio fee is £250 which includes approx. 2-3 hours shooting with unlimited images taken, and comprising of various different set ups and poses from head shots to full length, and incorporating several outfit changes. The fee also includes my editing time, five 10"x8" prints plus 10 high resolution images (including the print choices) on disk for your personal use.
Additional 10"x8" prints cost £20 each.
If a professional makeover is required this can be arranged for an additional fee.
The location portfolio fee is £350 encompassing the same details as in the studio portfolio session (outlined above).
